Legend states the Louis Phillipe, “Compte de Paris » – then contender to the French Throne – used the Somerville as the perfect setting to welcome noble persons from Brittany & Normandy in the late 1800’s. In truth, little is known about that day, but we’d like to think it culminated in the same merriment and happiness as is seen every week to this day!
